About Maple Path and Michael Ukwuma

By Michael Ukwuma

Who built Maple Path, why it exists, and how every lesson and practice test on this site is made.

Hello, I am Michael Ukwuma, and Maple Path is my work. I want to tell you who I am, why I built this, and what you can expect from it. You deserve to know who is behind the material you are trusting with your test.

Why I built Maple Path

Many people I know have been on the road to Canada. Again and again I saw the same thing. Good, capable people who speak English every day were losing points on CELPIP, not because their English was poor, but because nobody had shown them what the test actually rewards.

Most of the preparation out there was either expensive, scattered across a dozen places, or written as if every student lived in Toronto. I wanted one place that teaches the method, gives you plenty of realistic practice, and speaks to you plainly. So I built it.

Who I am

I am a consultant, trainer and writer. Much of my working life has been spent helping people and organizations grow: leadership training, capacity building for nonprofits, mentoring young entrepreneurs as a coach and mentor with the Tony Elumelu Foundation, and writing books. I also hold training in anatomy and public health.

That background shapes how Maple Path teaches. I care about method over tricks, about clear steps you can follow, and about building real confidence rather than memorized answers.

How the content is made

Practice scores and levels on this site are estimates to guide your study. They are not official scores.

Independence

Maple Path is an independent study resource. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to Paragon Testing Enterprises, the makers of CELPIP, or with Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada. CELPIP is a registered trademark of its owner, and it is named here only to describe what this site helps you prepare for. For immigration decisions, always check the official IRCC website.

Frequently asked questions

Is Maple Path free?

A lot of it is. The Mindset section, the core lessons for every skill, the CELPIP to CLB converter and a set of practice tests are free for anyone with a free account. Full access opens every practice test, every lesson and printable, and all the full mock exams.

How much is full access, and does it renew by itself?

Full access is 30,000 naira for 30 days or 50,000 naira for 90 days. It is one payment with no automatic renewal. When your time ends, your account simply goes back to the free level, and your progress stays saved.

How do I pay?

By card or bank transfer through Paystack. Paystack handles the payment securely, so I never see your card details. Your access switches on as soon as the payment goes through.

Are these real CELPIP questions?

No. Every test on this site is original. It follows the real CELPIP General format, parts, timing and question types, so it feels like the real thing without copying it.

Will my practice score match my real score?

Treat it as a close estimate, not a promise. Reading and Listening are marked exactly, then converted to an estimated level. Writing and Speaking are marked against the four official rating criteria. Your real result depends on test day, so aim a little above the level you need.

What do I need for the Speaking practice?

A working microphone and a quiet room. Your browser will ask permission to use the microphone the first time. A laptop or desktop computer gives the most realistic experience, especially for the full mock exams, but phones work for most practice.

I forgot my password. What do I do?

Press Log in, then choose the option to reset your password. A reset link will arrive in your email inbox within a few minutes. Check your spam folder if you do not see it.

Where can I ask questions about strategy or my preparation?

Bring them to the free weekly live classes. Twice a week I teach strategy, mindset and how to approach each part of the test, and I answer questions from everyone who attends. Anyone can join, whether you have full access or not.

What if something goes wrong with my payment or my account?

Write to ukwumamc@gmail.com from the email address you registered with, and tell me what happened. Payment and account problems always come first.

Can I get a refund?

Yes, within 7 days of your payment, as long as you have not completed more than 3 practice tests or mock sections with full access. The full details are in the refund policy linked at the bottom of every page.
