Nigeria is one of the top three countries for Express Entry invitations, so the competition is real. Many candidates have strong everyday English and still lose points because nobody showed them what CELPIP rewards. Format, timing and a few habits make the difference.
Start with your level
Before you book, find out where you stand in all four skills. The free Maple Path placement test takes about 25 minutes and gives you an estimated level in Reading, Listening, Writing and Speaking, plus a daily study plan built around your test date.
A routine that fits a working week
- Weekdays: one timed Reading or Listening set, about 10 minutes, and one Writing or Speaking task every second day.
- Weekends: one full timed mock exam, or one mock section if time is short.
- Every week: check your progress page. When your practice levels hold at your target for two mocks in a row, you are ready to book.
My advice. Practise on a laptop if you can, at least for the mock exams. CELPIP is taken on a computer, and typing speed matters in Writing.
Free live classes
The free live classes run on Tuesdays and Saturdays from 9 to 10 pm Nigerian time. The join link is posted on Telegram before each class.
Booking the test
Book through the official CELPIP website, which lists current test centres, dates and fees. Book once your practice levels are steady at your target, not before.
