Passage

Subject: Changes to garbage and recycling pickup

Dear residents of Maplewood Court,

Starting Monday, November 9, the city will change the collection schedule for our building. Garbage will now be collected on Tuesdays and Fridays instead of Mondays and Thursdays. Recycling will move from Wednesday to Thursday morning. Please put all bins at the curb by 7:00 a.m., because the trucks will arrive earlier than before.

The city will also begin accepting food scraps in a new green bin. Each household will receive one small kitchen container and a link to a short guide. You do not need to buy any bags, but you must not put plastic bags inside the green bin. Paper bags are fine.

Our building manager, Ms. Ortega, will hand out the kitchen containers in the lobby on Saturday, November 7, between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. If you cannot attend, please email her before Friday so she can arrange another time. Residents who leave bins out after 9:00 p.m. may receive a warning from the city, and repeated warnings can lead to a fine.

Thank you for helping us keep the property clean.
